The agreement between you and Revival Registry. Last updated .
Template notice: these terms are a plain-language starting point and should be reviewed by a licensed attorney before launch.
Revival Registry ("we", "us") runs this website. By using this website or registering, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Disclaimer.
Early access. Revival Registry is currently in early access. The only services offered now are the free "Not sure yet" record and the free "Notify me when it opens" email list. No fees are charged and no payment details are collected. Before any paid record is offered, these Terms will be updated with the price and refund terms.
At launch, for a one-time fee of (USD), we record your stated wishes about possible future revival (YES or NO, optional conditions, an optional personal note and up to three family contacts), issue you a certificate with a unique ID, and make your record available through our lookup tools as described in the Privacy Policy. That is the entire service.
Not sure yet. You may record "Not sure yet" free of charge. No certificate is issued for that answer. If you opt in, we email you a reminder about once a year, around your sign-up date, asking whether you have decided; you can stop reminders at any time with the one-click link in every email or on the Update my answer page. If you later choose YES or NO, the one-time fee in effect at that time applies and your certificate is issued after payment.
We do not provide, arrange, fund, research or promise revival, resurrection, life extension, cryonics, medical care or preservation of any biological material. Revival is not possible today and may never be. Registering does not increase the chance of any outcome, and no one is obligated to act on your record. See the Disclaimer.
You must be at least 18 years old and register only for yourself. You confirm the information you give is true and that your typed name is your electronic signature.
No payments are taken during early access. This section applies once paid records open.
Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. The fee is one-time, with no subscription. You may request a full refund within days of payment by contacting us. After that, fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change the price for future registrations; it will never change for a registration you have already paid for.
Once you have paid, you may update your choice, conditions, note or contacts at any time for free, and anyone may ask us to delete their record. Updates are made through a private link sent to your registered email address. The most recent version of your record replaces earlier versions. After your death, we will not change your record at anyone else's request, except to note that a registrant has passed away if a family contact tells us so, or where required by law.
We will use reasonable efforts to preserve records for as long as we operate, including multiple redundant backups and a yearly archive snapshot. We do not guarantee indefinite storage. If we ever stop operating, we will try to give registrants at least 90 days' notice by email with a copy of their record, and we may transfer the registry to a successor organization that agrees to protect it under terms at least as protective as our Privacy Policy.
You may not register for another person, submit false information, try to access records you are not entitled to, scrape or attack the site, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that any future technology will exist or that any person will act on any record.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision made or not made by any third party about you or your remains.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of , USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Consumers may also have rights under the laws of their own country that cannot be waived.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after changes means you accept them; they will not reduce rights you already paid for.
